I want you to watch it and remember exactly how it felt.

There’s a good chance your parents have a dusty box somewhere filled with old camcorder tapes. The kind where someone accidentally films their own feet for twenty seconds, your uncle zooms in far too much, and everyone’s hair choices are questionable at best.

And somehow... they're perfect.

Not because they're technically flawless, but because they feel like memories.

The videos we treasure most aren't always the most polished. They're the ones that make us feel something.

That's probably the best way I can describe my approach to wedding films.

Chasing Feelings, Not Perfection

While a lot of modern wedding videography focuses on perfection, smooth camera movements and highly polished edits, I'm usually chasing something a little different.

I want your wedding film to feel like something you've rediscovered twenty years from now. Something that transports you straight back into the moment.

The nervous smile before the ceremony.

The squeeze of a hand.

The look across a crowded room.

The moments you didn't even realise were happening.

Why I Use Vintage Lenses & Camcorders

That's why I shoot with a mixture of vintage lenses, retro camcorders and modern cameras.

The modern cameras give me reliability and beautiful image quality, while the older equipment adds character, texture and all those little imperfections that make footage feel human.

I love the softness of vintage glass. I love the way old camcorders handle light. I even love the tiny quirks that would make a perfectionist lose sleep.

Because real memories aren't perfect.

A little grain. A little blur. A little imperfection. Sometimes that's where the magic lives.

Less Production, More Presence

When I edit, I'm not trying to create a Hollywood trailer.

I'm trying to create a feeling.

My favourite wedding films are emotional without being overly dramatic. Stylish without feeling staged. Nostalgic without trying too hard.

Most couples who book me aren't interested in spending their wedding day acting for the camera. They want to be present with their people, enjoy the day and trust that I'll quietly capture everything as it unfolds.

The Goal

I'll absolutely help when needed. If your buttonhole has fallen off, your dress is caught on a chair or your confetti throw looks more like a polite scattering of bird seed, I'll happily step in.

But for the most part, I'm there to observe rather than direct.

I don't want you to watch your wedding film and think, "What a beautiful video."

I want you to watch it and remember exactly how it felt.

And if it feels a little bit like finding an old family tape in the loft, then I've probably done my job.
